Steve has over 35 years of public accounting, entrepreneurial and management experience. Leveraging his leadership and financial experiences, Steve works closely with middle market businesses and their owners to ensure they grow, maximize business value and achieve personal financial success. Over his professional career, he has consulted on a wide range of areas including, growth strategies, wealth advisory, transition planning, business valuation, mergers & acquisitions, strategic and business planning, due diligence and quality of earnings, financial management, financing assistance, internal controls, and attestation and tax engagements.
Steve held a co-leadership role in the due diligence, ultimate merger and management of two equal size CPA firms, which came together to become a Top 100 CPA. The firm ranked number 67 in the country with annual revenues in excess of $45 million. During Steve’s tenure as co-managing partner, Inside Public Accounting named the firm among the Top 5 “Best of the Best” firms in the Northeast Region.
Steve also offers his technical knowledge, financial expertise and expert testimony to the legal community, the insurance industry and others. He has participated in several hundred matters involving complex commercial litigation, lost profits, owner disputes, business interruption, business valuations, breach of contract, financial investigations, group self-insured worker’s compensation programs, financial motive, tax fraud and other areas of civil and criminal litigation.
In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Steve is a Certified Valuation Analyst, Accredited in Business Valuation, Certified in Financial Forensics, a Certified Business Exit Consultant and a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics.
He is affiliated with numerous professional organizations, including the American Institute and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Valuation Analysts and the International Growth & Exit Planning Association. Steve holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from Siena College.
